


Mexican Olympian & NCAA Champion
María José Fassi, born on March 25, 1998, in Pachuca, Mexico, began playing golf at the age of seven. She represented Mexico at the 2014 Summer Youth Olympics and won the Mexican Women’s Amateur Championship in 2015, 2016, and 2018. Fassi enjoyed a stellar collegiate career at the University of Arkansas from 2015 to 2019, becoming one of the most decorated players in program history. She captured the 2019 NCAA Division I Women’s individual title, won the ANNIKA Award in 2018 and 2019, and earned SEC Women’s Golfer of the Year honors.
Fassi turned professional in May 2019, making her debut at the U.S. Women’s Open, where she finished tied for 12th—still her best result in a major. She earned her first professional victory at the 2020 Cooper Communities NWA Classic on the Women’s All Pro Tour. Fassi has represented Mexico on the world stage at both the Tokyo 2020 and Paris 2024 Olympic Games.
