The Early Years

Dottie Ardina, born on December 2, 1993, in Calamba, Laguna, Philippines, began playing golf at age five and quickly became one of the country’s most accomplished junior players. She rose to prominence with a runner-up finish at the 2011 U.S. Girls’ Junior Championship and made history in 2006 as the youngest competitor ever to play in the Women’s World Amateur Team Championship at just 12 years old. She also contributed to the Philippines’ gold medal in the women’s team event at the 2009 Southeast Asian Games.

Ardina turned professional in April 2013 and earned multiple victories early in her career on the ICTSI Ladies Philippine Golf Tour, along with several strong performances on regional tours. She secured her first Epson Tour victory at the 2022 Copper Rock Championship.

A two-time Olympic qualifier, Ardina earned a spot in the 2016 Rio Olympics but withdrew due to Zika virus concerns. She qualified again for the 2024 Paris Olympics, where she will represent the Philippines.
