The Early Years

Anne Van Dam, born on October 2, 1995, in Arnhem, Netherlands, began playing golf at the age of five. Although she excelled as a competitive swimmer in her early teens, she chose to focus on golf around age 13 as her tournament successes began to grow. As an amateur, she represented the Netherlands in major European team events and won national titles across several youth age categories.

Van Dam turned professional in 2015 and quickly made her mark on the Ladies European Tour, capturing her first LET victory at the 2016 Xiamen International Ladies Open. She has since earned five LET titles, including multiple Spanish Opens, establishing herself as one of Europe’s premier players. Renowned for her elite driving distance, Van Dam led the LET in this category in 2017 and 2018 and topped the LPGA Tour’s driving distance rankings in 2019.

She was a key member of Europe’s winning 2019 Solheim Cup team and represented the Netherlands at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics.
